Care Guide
Caladiums in general loves shaded or low light areas so, make sure to give them only two to four hours of morning sunlight. Like other plants, Humboldtii needs atleast twice to thrice watering each week. Make sure to monitor its soil in between waterings to avoid over-watering because this may lead to yellowing of its leaves and rotting of the plant’s root system.
Propagation
In propagating a Caladium, do not water the plant a day before the propagation to help it properly adjust on its new environment. Once ready, take the whole plant out of the soil and separate the stems according to each bulb found under the soil. Tap the plant to remove any excess soil and you can now directly place it into a new pot. Water them immediately after placing the bulb on top of the soil. They need moisture after not receiving it for a good 24 hours.
