Description
The Echeveria imbricata, commonly known as Rose Cabbage succulent is a rose-like succulent with thick fleshy leaves with a waxy feel. It has powder blue color leaves and a pink outline around the edges. It is a cross between Echeveria Secunda and Echeveria Gibbiflore ‘Metallica’ that has resulted in a hybrid. As the plant matures, it starts to form rosettes in clusters.

History
The Echeveria genus itself is a native of Mexico, Texas to Argentina. It was discovered in the 19th century by botanist Antansio Echeveria. There are over 150 recognized species under this genus and most of them are cabbage-like or are shaped like rosettes. This succulent is non-toxic and should be safe around pets.
Care guide
This succulent for sale in Manila thrive best in bright indirect sunlight, and can tolerate full sun. Suggested watering schedule is every 7-10 days or when the soil is almost completely dry. Remember that succulents are accustomed to dry arid conditions so under-watering them is slightly better than overwatering.
Propagation
This Rose Cabbage in Manila can be propagated through Plantlet removal. In most cases, succulents will produce little pups or offsets below them. You can separate the pups from the parent plant and repot them into a new one. Another method is root separation, you can unearth the succulent and simply separate the roots and repot separately. Last is through leaf or stem cuttings where you just simply lay the cuttings in a bed of soil and place in a shaded area. Mist the soil every few days or when the soil is dry. New leaves should start to sprout in about 4 weeks or so. New growth is a sign of a successful propagation!
