Description

Variegated Peace Lily or Spathiphyllum “Domino” is a natural air cleaner that blooms white flowers in the middle. This flowering plant is a variegated form of Spathiphyllum or Peace Lily. Thus, it is a new hybrid with smeared looking white variegation in each green leaf. Just like a Peace Lily it is a low maintenance and contemporary indoor plant.

History

Peace Lily came from the Araceae family and originated from the tropical rainforests of Venezuela and Colombia. The name Spathiphyllum is derived from the Greek words spath (spoon) and phyl (leaves) because of its spoon-shaped leaf. It represents the soul’s rebirth and wholeness from such a earthly life. It is also a symbol of hope and peace. In Feng Shui, it is believed that the energy of the house is calmed and balanced by the plant.

Care Guide

This indoor plant for sale in Manila thrives best in medium to bright indirect sunlight. Be careful not to expose them to harsh direct sunlight as this might scorch its leaves and be left with burn spots. Recommended watering schedule for this plant is once to twice a week. It’s easy to determine when your Peace Lily is thirsty when it’s starts drooping its leaves. Remember that the more it’s exposed to heat, the faster your plant’s soil will dry up. Make sure that excess water flows out of its pot as well to prevent overwatering.

Propagation

This should be possible while repotting as these indoor plants produce new stems over the long run. Once you’ve desoiled your matured plant, you will see new offshoots apart from the mother plant.
