The Spathiphyllum Sensation, are low maintenance plants with large, glossy, ribbed dark green leaves. The larger version of the peace lily, this plant is commonly kept in households and makes a perfect statement plant. It is an easy to care for plant which is also perfect to give as a gift. Nevertheless, it can also be grown outdoors with adequate shade and to avoid direct sunlight that may scorch its leaves. History

It was in the late 19th century when it was first discovered growing in the wild in Central America. They belong to the Araceae family with over 50 different cultivars. Spathiphyllum Sensation is one out of thirty six species of tropical evergreens. It is also considered as one of the largest spathiphyllum because of its large leaves. The name Spathiphyllum is derived from the Greek words spath (spoon) and phyl (leaves) because of its spoon-shaped leaves.
