History & Health Benefits

First cultivated in England during the 1750s, the Peppermint is a hybrid between Watermint and Spearmint. But the herb goes way back as far as Greek Mythology, Ancient Egypt, and during the Middle ages for its medicinal properties. Ancient Greek and Romans used the herb to help soothe stomach problems and was used in the 18th century as a folk medicine for nausea, respiratory issues, and menstrual disorders.  Today, this herb for sale in Manila is proven to aid digestion, lowering blood sugar, and is a natural decongestant. A word of caution as Peppermint oil, when taken in large doses, can be dangerous to your health.
